Celebrating Father’s Day as a Family

Meet Najah, wife, entrepreneur, and mother to jackson age 5, and Penelope age 3.

We spent the first 4 years of our relationship living in Europe while my husband played professional hockey. We are now settled in our hometown of Ancaster, Ontario. I own a children’s boutique, while my husband is a hockey scout for NHL Central Scouting.

1. What kind of activities do you like to do with your kids?

We like to spend a lot of time making memories. From riding our bikes to movie nights, we like our time to be spent together. If the weather permits, we are always enjoying the outdoors.

2. Do you celebrate Father’s Day?

Yes, with a BBQ! We invite both sides of our families over and spend the day enjoying the weather and each other’s company. This year may look a little different, however, if we can’t celebrate with a large group, we will still make it special as a family of four. casino siteleri

3. How will you get your kids involved in preparation for this day?

I usually have the kids make handmade cards for special occasions. We let Daddy relax and enjoy the day, reminding him often how special he is to us.

4. How would you describe the relationship between your children and their dad?

My husband is such an involved dad. He’s always supporting our kids in a fun-loving way. He is extra thoughtful in his words, teaching the children life lessons in a light hearted way. These little reminders are just one reason why we love Daddy, on Fathers Day, and everyday.
